Following a physically and mentally challenging pre-season under new Head Coach, past player and club legend David Virgo, the Hawks are primed and ready for a new season of WA Premier Cricket.
With a number of big-name and experienced players flying the Nest in the off-season, the onus has been thrust upon our talented youngsters to stand up & fill the void. A relaxed vibe around the club, with an emphasis on getting back to enjoying the game and team-mates company, has seen the playing group operating with open minds and a new, mutually agreed set of core values to the fore. They have bought into Virgs methods, which have already left a mark.
Opportunities to impress will be made available, and a clean slate offered to all. Training sessions have reverted back to our regular summer slots of Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.15pm at Breckler Park, with new KPIs and measurable standards set and to be kept to. The newly renovated clubrooms are available to welcome new recruits, and the floodlights will be on to enhance the fielding sessions.
The future is bright, and the Hawks are ready for season 2017-18.
